OLUSEYI BISIRIYU FOUNDATION EMPOWERS OVER 30 WOMEN FOR PETTY TRADING IN OGUN STATE

Over 30 women from Iwalewa Women’s Group of Ogun State have benefited from Oluseyi Bisiriyu Foundation’s Petty Trading Women Empowerment Program.

The program was created to improve the life of all adult women across all local government areas in Ogun State.

Iwalewa Women’s Group is the first women association to partner with the Foundation under it’s intervention programs. The association is a nondiscriminatory women association organized with the aims of building awareness of business innovations and social development for women of all ages, and to accelerate women’s empowerment that have a real impact on the quality of life for them.

Mr. Oluseyi Bisiriyu, the founder of the Foundation explained that the foundation’s decision to organize the program for women is from the realization that one of the available and realistic solutions for the reduction of poverty level in the country is by empowering women.

“Some of these women are widows, and since it might be very difficult for them to provide for themselves and their children with everyday needs, programs like this will not only help them to provide their needs, but also give them a chance to build their lives as they wish” He added

You will recalled that the Foundation already sponsored some youths in vocational trainings and empowerment program in various field to make them become useful to themselves, family, and society.

OBF BEGINS FIRST BATCH OF YOUTH EMPOWERMENT AND SKILL ACQUISITION PROGRAMME

Mrs. Peter Adetutu, who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, praised the Foundation for such initiative, while assuring the foundation that the beneficiaries will make good use of the opportunity to better improve their lives.
